Sweet Somethings

About This Piece

We call them sweet nothings, but I've always thought the small gestures are the real something. This little weaving is exactly that: flecks of colour, cuttings from other weavings, scattered through soft white, gathering depth as you move down. A sweet something for the spot that needs a little warmth.

Materials: 100% mohair wool woven on 100% cotton hung on Canadian soft wood dowel.

Size:  8" x 10"

A Few Notes

• Most of the yarns are hand-dyed in small batches (not by me!). This lends to the beautiful variations and humanness of every one-of-a-kind piece that I make. This also means that even if I wanted to, I could never recreate this exact piece again.

• I have done my very best to represent the true tone of the artwork in the images provided. Also, keep in mind that life is not a backlit screen.
