Growing Season

About This Piece

Growing Season was inspired by the full vibrancy of a Canadian summer in the lands of lakes and forests. This is what it looks like when everything is alive at once.

It's about the lifelong practice of trusting what's emerging even. We are always in some kind of growing season where there is something ending, something just beginning, and maybe something new quietly taking root beneath the surface. The growing season doesn't ask permission. It just grows. It's up to us to look out for the bright blooms.

Materials: Cotton and wool woven on 100% cotton hung on Canadian soft wood dowel.

Size:  40" x 33" to bottom of fringe / 26" to bottom of weaving

Every piece is one of a kind. If it speaks to you, make it yours now!

A Few Notes

  • Most of the yarns are hand-dyed in small batches (not by me!). This lends to the beautiful variations and humanness of every one-of-a-kind piece that I make. This also means that even if I wanted to, I could never recreate this exact piece again.
  • I have done my very best to represent the true tone of the artwork in the images provided. Also, keep in mind that life is not a backlit screen.
