Light Bright

About This Piece

Inspired by hours spent with a Light Bright (all-time best toy!), pressing each coloured peg into the dark board and watching vibrancy spark. I began Light Bright at a girlfriends' retreat weekend that was complete with games of Battleship, lake swims, stargazing, a bonfire, and Ferris Bueller. It became a full throwback experience. This piece holds all of that. Joy, vibrancy, and the reminder that the things we loved as kids, might just be the thing to unlock the joy we’re craving and creating now.

Materials: Cotton and wool woven on 100% cotton, hung on a Canadian soft wood dowel.

A Few Notes

• Most of the yarns are hand-dyed in small batches (not by me!). This lends to the beautiful variations and humanness of every one-of-a-kind piece that I make. This also means that even if I wanted to, I could never recreate this exact piece again.

• I have done my very best to represent the true tone of the artwork in the images provided. Also, keep in mind that life is not a backlit screen.
